stm2988
First off, I had to install through VMWare because the install DVD wouldn't boot properly. I also had to install in Linux because VMWare in Windows conflicted with my video card drivers and would only display a black screen. I am trying to install it on a Gateway MX7515 (AMD 64--Mobility Radeon). There is only one partition on the harddrive and it's Mac OS X--it started up in VMWare when I rebooted after installation so I figured it was okay. When I try it natively it stops on "Dec 24 09:36:53 launchd: ioctl(SIOCAIFADDR ipv6): File exists". At that point it becomes extremely slow (5-10 minute delay between new lines) and says: Checking disk fsck_hfs: Volume is journaled. No checking performed. fsck_hfs: Use the -f to force checking. Mounting local filesystems Eventually I remember that it says Resetting Files and Devices and it stops on something like "Kernel parent sent message response from child timed out." But I think the problem starts long before that. How can I get her booting? Rammjet
What version of OSX? What packages did you select in the Customize window right before clicking the Install button?
