[HELP/REQUEST] EFI for i7-13620H (Raptor Lake-P) - ASUS TUF F15 (2023) - Sonoma 14.0

Hi everyone,

I am starting a new Hackintosh project on my ASUS TUF Gaming F15 (2023) with an Intel Core i7-13620H (Raptor Lake-P). I don't mind a "buggy" system for now; my main goal is to reach the desktop and start testing NootedGreen for the Iris Xe graphics.

My Specs:

  • CPU: i7-13620H (Raptor Lake-P)

  • iGPU: Intel Iris Xe

  • RAM: 16GB

  • Target OS: macOS Sonoma 14.0

  • Preferred Bootloader: Clover (v5xxx) or OpenCore

What I need: Does anyone have a base EFI or a config.plist structure for this specific laptop or CPU architecture? I am specifically looking for:

  1. ACPI Patches: For the Series 700 Chipset to handle the Raptor Lake-P power management.

  2. GPU Config: Correct implementation for NootedGreen to avoid the "GPU Reset Storm" on boot. I have the v71EmrEnforcer and V80L plane-linearization notes, but I need a working template to integrate them.

I am ready to debug and deal with bugs, I just need a solid starting point to boot the installer and see the internal NVMe. If you have any experimental EFI or a similar Raptor Lake-P laptop config, please share it.

Thank you for your help!

I'm not sure if there is an iGPU solution for you.  Since you're already familiar with NootedGreen, you might want to follow here or here.

Others should be able to provide you with Series 700 patches.

I'm curious to know how you're going to handle the bugs when you can't even build a solid base (which is precisely why you're asking help for).

Yeah, that's the magic of AI.  -_-

Okay, I'll give you a little time to confess before I ban your account.  ;)

I'm trying to learn, and since my equipment is very new, I'm getting support to use the correct terminology...

English is not my first language, so I'm using an AI assistant to help me structure my technical questions correctly so they are clear to you. I am genuinely trying to learn the bootloader process for this specific hardware.

You have chosen to start your learning with a very complicated hackintosh.  The last Intel CPU/iGPU that Apple included in a MacBook is 10th Generation Intel.  Trying to enable macOS support for anything later than 10th Gen iGPU in a laptop is going to be difficult for an experienced hackintosher.  You can follow attempts in threads like this and this.

Most of the hackintoshes with Intel 11th Generation and later CPU have a Radeon dGPU that is supported by macOS (so that the iGPU is not needed to drive graphics).

If you want to learn, you may want to start with a laptop or desktop that has an Intel 10th generation or earlier (8th or 9th generation) to make it easier.

Good luck!

@Quita I'm not sure if you're still monitoring this thread.  I hope that this discussion has not discouraged you from learning to create a hackintosh.  Don't give up.

Integrated graphics on 10th generation and above processors are not Mac compatible. If you have a desktop computer, you might be able to solve this with a Mac-compatible dedicated graphics card. However, this is unfortunately not possible on a laptop. Even if you could somehow install it, the integrated graphics would not work.
