medion MD 8383 XL ( first boot crashes ) ( 10.4.6 )

Hello,

 

I have a medion 8383 XL .

intel 3.4 Ghz P4 1 MB cache

Western Digital 250 GB

Geforce 6610 XL 128 MB DDR

16x dual layer dvd recorder

512 MB ram

tv card

wlan

bluetooth

 

When I try to install OSX 10.4.6 ( 10.4.4 + patch 10.4.5 and patch 10.4.6 ) ( on the second primary partition ) . It installs like it should l ( custom install , deselect amd , select sse3 ) . At the end it does not reboot when it says it's going to reboot . I do a cold reboot , ... it starts up ... I see a lot a text scrolling by when booting ... then the scrolling stops and , and I think the video driver is started ... a black screen appears for a few seconds and then it reboots like there is a serieus hardware problem .

 

Has somebody done a succesfull install on a medion 8383 XL ? Ifso I would be glad to know .

try some boot options :

 

F8 at startup and then

-x -v

or

-s -v

or

-f -v

 

with -v you can see diagnostic messages....

I have tried all boot options that you mentioned without any succes or something more to tell .

 

The verbose parameter does not really change anything because I allready see all the logging scrolling on the screen .

 

The crash only occurs AFTER the logging has stopped .

 

1. System boots

2. Logging passes on the screen , very fast ... unreadable .

3. Scrolling stops .

4. Screen turns black for 2-3 seconds .

5. Client is rebooting automaticly .

 

I think it's a video issue . Has somebody gotten the GEFORCE 6610 working ?
