Windows on Boot

Hello,

 

I realize this forum is more for MacOS on x86, but I'm wondering if there's a similar community for the inverse, Windows on aarch64.  I'm a recent convert to "Mac" - not necessarily the OS (I still prefer Windows honestly) but for the hardware.  IMHO x86 is a disaster   I realize there's a Windows ARM, which I'm using via Parallels, but I wanted to see if there was a way to boot Windows (or dual boot).  I have a MacBook M3 recently purchased.

Hey, you're not alone! A lot of us love the Mac hardware but still prefer the Windows workflow. Unfortunately, as of now, there’s no official way to natively dual boot Windows on Apple Silicon (M1–M3) — Apple doesn't support Boot Camp anymore on these chips, and Microsoft hasn't released a retail version of Windows ARM for general Mac installs.

Parallels is currently the most polished way to run Windows ARM on Apple Silicon, but I agree — it’s not quite the same as bare metal.

There’s been some community effort (like using UTM or tinkering with EDK2 builds), but so far nothing close to stable for daily native use. Would be awesome if Microsoft and Apple loosened things up a bit in the future.

If you ever find a good community focused on Windows ARM as the host, not just in VMs, definitely share — I’d be curious too.
