deeveedee
Hi, @zzzh-1. Please post your zipped Open Core EFI when requesting help. Before posting your EFI, remove personal serial numbers / IDs from the config.plist PlatformInfo. EDIT: Also, make sure that you have followed the instructions here. EDIT2: I'm n ot familiiar with your NVMe SSD and would need someone else to determine whether there are macOS/hackintosh compatibility issues with Kingston A2000 500GB. zzzh-1
Hi, @deeveedee, So exited to get reply from the master, this question was about to be posted in your famous thread, but seems I was (and am) not qualified to do that. The EFI I use is OC1.0.3-EFI-R01 from your thread, just use GenSMBIOS to create MLB, SystemSerialNumber and SystemUUID. and my Ethernet MAC Address to ROM. I noticed it can be changed to better apply to my case, but not urgent, I can do that later after Ventura boot up. About the system specs, actually I copied it from somewhere else for convenient because it's almost same as mine, did not realize that NVMe disk type may cause problem. So, here's the adjusted version: - CPU: Intel Core i5-8500T - iGPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630 - RAM: 16GB DDR4 2667Mhz -SSD1: SKHynix_HFS512GDE9X081N, also called PC711 (running win11 on it now) -SSD2: SAMSUNG MZVKW512HMJP-000H1, also called SM961 (will install Ventura on it) - WiFi & Bluetooth: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 WiFi Adapter - Sound Card1: Conexant CX20632 - Sound Card2: Intel Kaby Lake HDMI - LAN: Intel I219-LM After some research, I suspect the NVMe disk PC711 is the source of my problem, macOS can't identify it and quit the installation. Is that correct? deeveedee
@zzzh-1 If you're certain that your EFI is identical to my posted EFI and your BIOS is configured as indicated in my instructions, then the SSD is a possibility. If you read through my thread, you'll see that I have good experience with WD Black SSDs. Read other recommendations here and here. Also, always post your EFI when asking for help. It never hurts to have another set of eyes to verify. EDIT: @zzzh-1 One more thing, SSDs can cause problems with macOS just by being installed, even if they are not the SSD on which you are installing macOS. For your macOS testing, remove all NVMe SSDs and test one at a time. zzzh-1
@deeveedee, thanks for the recommendation of WD Black SSDs and 2 more links, I'll get one to replace PC711. Sorry I didn't realize the importance of posting EFI for help, I did follow your BIOS instructions, about EFI, it's your posted EFI at first, then I did make some changes to get a log and try to make it boot up, attached is the file. Yeah, I understand PC711 have to be removed before macOS can boot up.
