Leo Mauti
Hi as per title, Sequoia restarts, I don't know if it's the bios? Or the usb ports? The efi is this, taken here: https://github.com/Trijal08/OpenCore-Hackintosh-Lenovo-ThinkPad-T490 The hardware is the same, except that I put it in external ssd. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360410-random-reboots-lenovo-t590/ Share on other sites
Leo Mauti
The problem seems to have been solved, maybe I had to set the Bios. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360410-random-reboots-lenovo-t590/#findComment-2829131 Share on other sites
Max.1974
Hi @Leo Mauti I saw your EFI, sometimes if you disable or remove XHCI-unsupported.kext, after mapping USB ports, as you did, this kext cause conflict after install. And if you are enable VT-d, need use DMAR ssdt, and disable IOmapper (uncheck) in config.plist 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360410-random-reboots-lenovo-t590/#findComment-2829136 Share on other sites

cankiulascmnfye
That EFI uses a looooot of kexts and ACPI tables. I think you do not need all of them. Dropping DMAR is only necessary, when using an SSDT for usb port mapping which is not the case here. SSDT-PLUG is not needed on Monterey and newer and most definitely not needed when using CPUFriend. I have a repo for the T490 as well, if you want to compare: https://github.com/5T33Z0/Thinkpad-T490-Hackintosh-OpenCore I also think the guy who created his repo took a lot of info directly from my repo without giving credit. If your T590 uses a different CPU than mine (i5-8265U), you should generate your own CPUFriendDataprovider.kext suited for your CPU. You can use CPUFriendFriend to so. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360410-random-reboots-lenovo-t590/#findComment-2829152 Share on other sites

Leo Mauti
Hi, do you think it is ok to install Sequoia? The one I have now is a Samsung, not compatible. https://www.amazon.it/Kingston-NVMe-PCIe-1000G-SNV2S/dp/B0BBWH1R8H/ref=sr_1_13?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Jb9UcxNQ3hC8A6X_L3kegSbwkOxAdg66dbwNnraRPKEWFMMH8NKBmr-kpx46orgdwrxTePRg23fwbNpaqRHODcK-Qdn8TAdMJiPO2TRbMF8uuDAz8l1qSp5nBAsVFcMoJLLO7laWwSVGs6v8k8Ywfd_Ugv9c9a087-B7f2gIc94eyifTZcFeVlPQujQHJenwM7uS3VYJW6ybyMc4KxbkopPJUXqnQSQb1jdnuzUz4qX2gqIj3eVXsEjBCljsDw57MjuFDez6QUsUAkNCRzBGKwQKn2APAQUwiwMIyJbrj13Tr0qvTLnM1cL_RCyH-LS_RhjcDRYBFRwIoTBqGiNIjiv7Ch28WJcScaP1JUxHxDgV2MYdOX8q8W-t4XReXvtdzvryAyvoYSLO9N-AJ9j9MF3mTheOwSSGdoDeYcKcFC5y_aynLpAsXO-csaxjkpav.Gsu4WSOhVhEH8WrC0CswhkDLJNCdkrb6yC0xbYZfe-Q&dib_tag=se&keywords=ssd+m2+1tb&nsdOptOutParam=true&qid=1735472362&sr=8-13 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360410-random-reboots-lenovo-t590/#findComment-2829222 Share on other sites
