I have DigiDesign Protools (and its associated CoreAudio driver) running fine on my 10.4.7 SSE3 JaS install (with the addition of the intel version of protools).

Problem is, when i install the 10.4.8 DVD install (SSE3, ICH8) - The Mbox device is recognized, and will even launch protools, but there is a clock/sync error; which ultimately results in the mbox playing back what sounds like 1's and 0's.

If anyone could have any insight into this problem, or if anyone (by some grace of Buddha) has a solution, please share.

I would prefer to upgrade to the 10.4.8 version of osX86, as it seems to have a lot more support for video device drivers, and related vidya peraphanilia. This benefits me, as i work with audio to picture - so anything that can enhance my video playback / multiple displays is always a huge plus. (It's bad enough i made the mistake of buying the geforce 7300 GT... ack. i wish i could get that working properly)

Anyway, I would greatly appreciate any help at all. I love this community, I've spent so much time in here finding the answers to all my problems i've had with all things osx86.

This is my virgin question.... my first time.... so go easy on me. : )

I have a MBox working fine with 10.4.8, even tho I don't use it with ProTools, just Ableton Live...

Will install PT LE 7 to test it :)

AHHHH - I Updated my Kernel - and now it works. PHEW.

Now if anyone could tell me how to get my Geforce 7300 GT workin' - that'd be fantastic.
