Hi.

It's been a about 7 years since I built a Hackintosh but since I just inherited an old Haswell system I decided to run MacOS Sierra, using OpenCore for the first time ever.

To my surprise, when I started looking into enabling audio i discovered that the ALC1150 and the 960 HDMI audio were just working directly after install!! .... But why? ... Can someone explain please?

.plist is attached.

Thanks

Uhm, because AppleALC.kext is injected and Layout-ID #1 (which seems to work for your system) is injected via DeviceProperties.

Ahh, yes... Just read this: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Post-Install/universal/audio.html#finding-your-layout-id

Thanks.
