scannerfm77
I have problem since upgrade to 10.4.8. 1. When I clicked "About This Mac" menu, suddenly everything is close and desktop is appear like when you start from begining (but system is not restart). So I could never see my "About This Mac" window. 2. My "Finder" is sometime not responding when I click my dvd rom (Lite On). Anybody could help me? Thank you. Rammjet
"About this Mac" is not what tells you about your system. When in About this Mac, you click the button at the bottom for "More Info..." Doing that fires up the System Profiler which is in your Utilities folder. So, go there and run System Profiler. Meanwhile, the 10.4.8 install DVD had an option for a 10.4.4 LoginWindow. Installing that fixes the "About this Mac" crash. o Mike o
Yea, I had this problem in 10.4.7, but as soon as I upgraded to 10.4.8 it stopped crashing. The only thing related to this, it reads my CPU's frequency incorrectly. It reads it at stock instead of its overclocked frequency. scannerfm77
Thanks for the info. It small problem but I want my mac to be perfect Too bad I don't have the 10.4.8 dvd installer. How about the dvd thing? Has anyone have the same problem? Evertime I open my dvd rom using "Finder" (after I'm not using it for several minute), my "Finder" is not responding anymore. I try to relaunch it but it just won't start again. I have to restart the system manually. I hope anybody could give me some advise. Thanks.
