Silent OSX Posted December 11, 2006 Share Posted December 11, 2006 I solved the problem by flashing the board with the latest BIOS and installing 10.4.8 AMD PPF2... I'm beeing forced to replace my DFI Infinity RS482 since it won't allow me to use my Gigabyte X1600PRO SilentPipe II with the boris method. The board is perfect except for the integrated graphics interfering with the X1600 (se other topic).. I need a really cheap replacement board as I've already spent too much money on this comp. I'm leaning towards a ASUS A8V-VM. Is this a good board for OSX. What I need is working PATA, working network and working USB 2.0. I'll add a firewire PCI card later on since the board lacks firewire. Has anybody tried this board with an X1600? Or experience with boards with the same chipset... Is this fine or has anybody got any other board suggestions maybe even with firewire? /Silent edit: oh {censored}! I saw that the network card won't work with osx. Other recommendations it is then...
