flyboy320
I can install OK with vmware, but what I would like to know is once its installed with vmware, do you always have to boot with vmware to get OSX to run, or can you boot normally into OSX without using vmware? What I would like to do is install with vmware, and then be able to boot normally into either XP or OSX using Acronis boot loader. Rammjet
If you install to your hard drive instead of a virtual drive and do it in the correct manner, then you can boot native. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=11314 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/35371-newbie-question-about-vmware-install/#findComment-251398 Share on other sites
flyboy320
Thanks rammjet, I'll give it a try. For some reason I cannot boot from the dvd without an external monitor. But with vmware it installs fine. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/35371-newbie-question-about-vmware-install/#findComment-251489 Share on other sites
Rammjet
Instead of a monitor, you can use other things. Go to Video link in my signature and read Blue Screen. Some people have found with 10.4.8 that they no longer have to use any external device. But not all. VMWare talks to hardware through Windows drivers.
