As mentioned in topics, i have a laptop(dell 7591). Its CPU is I7-9750H. I installed big sur successfully. But when I upgrade it using OTA. It stuck with an Apple logo and 0 progressing bar. It shows

Attempting system restart...
MACH Reboot

I tried to google it. But there isn't a solution online.

This my oc file.

Hi there,

I understand you’re frustrated - and I’d like to help - but you have to understand this. Each version of macOS presents their own challenges. What works with one set of previous setups may not necessarily work on the next version.

With that out of the way, let’s focus on the issue at hand.

The first is the bootloader. To use Monterey you must be using OC 0.8.0 or greater. If your current version is less than that it must be updated first as well as kexts used.

Second is the system. Looking at the specs of your Dell laptop online I have to say your issue is to do with the Nvidia MX250 GPU you have. Unfortunately as it is Pascal based it is no longer officially supported in Monterey.

However we could get around it.

There are two ways to get it working. First you have to disable the onboard MX250 via a SSDT disabler and use the UHD630 as main GPU as otherwise the Monterey won’t boot. Look under the Opencore guides on how to set the UHD630 IGPU for Coffee Lake 9th gen.

Once you have that out of the way, you can then use the GeForce Kepler Patcher to add the missing Nvidia drivers back for Monterey > https://github.com/chris1111/Geforce-Kepler-patcher

However the issue has recently been made difficult because Nvidia had revoked the certificates for its Pascal Webdrivers, rendering most cards useless (although there has been some minor successes).

If that doesn’t work then your only option would be to stick with the UHD630 for Monterey. You can get full HVEC & 3D acceleration on a UHD630 if you enable the Intel Quicksync.

Okay. If you've got that far then you should be good to go.

The next thing you need to do is see if you have RestrictEvents.kext, NVMEFix and NoTouchID.kext installed. I would also strongly recommend enabling AdviseFeatures under PlatformInfo and possibly ProvideCurrentCPUInfo. If you still have issues I'd recommend also installing CPUFriend and CPUFriendDataProvider.
Also disable any WiFi or Bluetooth kexts to try to get into the Monterey installer and try to have the LAN port connected during the install if possible.
