Rammjet
Why do I have to go to Google and look up the specs on a Dell 6000? I don't own one. Why can't you just tell me? Looks like it will work. No wireless though. http://www.profit42.com/index.php/2006/10/...ndows-computer/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34782-where-to-begin/#findComment-246826 Share on other sites
jmusich
Thanks for the reply ! What would bve the reason that no wireless would be available ? Would it be that Macosx will not recognize the intel prowireless ? Or what ? thanks again Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34782-where-to-begin/#findComment-247506 Share on other sites
asap18
there is no driver for the intel wireless, as apple uses a different chipset in their airport extreme. jmusich
Thanks for the reply Is there a work around ? Or is it dead in the water ? This would be sort of a killer for the laptop concept of portability. To use the beast I would always need to be near a jack. Oh well. All thngs must pass. Rammjet
Is there a work around Get an external USB wireless device or see if you can replace your existing wireless card with a Dell Truemobile 1390 or 1450 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34782-where-to-begin/#findComment-247720 Share on other sites
