JHeung
Okay, the problem is not OS Selector. Everything is running smoothly.. I can boot into both OS... but when i open the Mac OS, the Mac grey screen flashes and turns black. Then an error message saying " localhost/ root# " Anyone know anything that could be causing this error? Rammjet
the Mac grey screen flashes and turns black. Then an error message saying " localhost/ root#" During the installation, when you get to the window where you are to click the Install button, you must first click the Customize button and choose packages for your computer. Click the little arrow next to the patches category to reveal the individual packages. Select Intel or AMD packages, not both. Select SSE2 or SSE3, not both, depending upon the capability of your processor. Select the Combo Update to get the latest version of OSX. Select other packages only if you know your computer can use them. bibendum
Is that an error message, or are you sitting at a command prompt? Can you type? Try hitting rc then return. JHeung
No, I cannot type when I'm in the error message. I think it is the booting part. Like this is the BEGINNING part of the bootup (Where the mac boots up and hte messages scroll down configuring) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34609-mac-wont-boot/#findComment-245974 Share on other sites
