sskhalsa
Hey, I have a two HDDs, 300GB each, in RAID 0 configuration. Is it possible to install Mac OS x86? If so, are there any changes I have to make (how should I make the partitions?)? Short list of specs: Intel Core Duo Extreme Edition X6800 2.83 Ghz 2GB RAM ATI X1900 all-in-wonder Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34336-installing-mac-os-x-x86-with-raid-0-config/ Share on other sites

macgirl
I don't think so. RAID provided by hardware is not recognized by Mac OS, even those third party cards that have supported drivers can't boot (only for data). You can try making a soft RAID within Disk Utility but we have seen that it doesn't work with MBR partitioned Disks. macgirl
I did a RAID in ther early days of OSX86, of course DATA only, no boot, with Disk Utility, but now there are some SATA RAID cards that work on Mac (no boot AFAIK) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34336-installing-mac-os-x-x86-with-raid-0-config/#findComment-244283 Share on other sites
