Caipo
I am trying to install macOS Catalina on VMWare on an AMD Ryzen computer. After many attempts I get to the installer, it installs (from an .iso file) and then it says "Attempting to start up from: => Mac OS X... unsuccessful." Then it goes back to rebooting from the iso file. What can I do? Thank you for your ideas! robertko
Hi, I'm new here. I've been successfully running Mojave on my AMD Ryzen 3500, but I need to upgrade to new xcode which requires Catalina and I'm facing the issue with the "This CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system...". Then after tweeting the VMX file I'm getting the "This virtual machine requires AVX2 but AVX is not present" message and I'm stuck. @macle7tie you said you have working macOS on AMD but slow. Can you please help me with just starting the Catalina installer at least?
