The other night after one time of sleep issue (put to hibernate but waked up, so I shut my Hack down as usual) The Next day I was trying to use my Mac but after login to desktop, almost all apps' icons became ..." Big Question marks" and click them but not able to open (not even the terminal)......so sad. Try to del /private/var/folders (as suggested from superuser.com), but lack of any mean to access (I don't have terminal, recovery) , and for APFS, no available method to access from outside (Paragon? nay...), will try ubuntu with fuse mounting later. Anyone have experience or method to suggest? My last resort is time machine backup (but a month of age, but old). Thanks! LockDown Posted July 28, 2019 Share Posted July 28, 2019 (edited) try to boot single mode fsck -fy if it did not solved, boot in single again. mount -uw / And delete the said folder you have mentioned.
