ofirkarin Posted November 16, 2006 Share Posted November 16, 2006 I installed osx86 on a pc, it went fine, after i got started it downloaded and installed the updates (10.4.8, itunes, quick time...) and requaired a restart, after which it goes to the black screen with "darwin x86..." and then straight to restart the computer... should i just install again and not update ??? Rammjet Posted November 16, 2006 Share Posted November 16, 2006 You installed a patched version of OSX. All OSX updates must also be patched. You can download and install things like Quicktime, iTunes and Java, but not OSX updates. Adjust Software Update in System Preferences after you reinstall.
