Hi

I used SwitchResX app to implement a custom resolution. It worked fine with recommended values but unfortunately adjusting a manual resolution made the system to go wrong and so it gave me a black screen. Now, after a restart, the booting process is being done fine but the black screen comes quickly just after progress bar completion. I'm sure everything works properly behind of the scenes.

Guys, I'm sure that the login screen comes but I can't see it because of the black screen. How can I access to desktop temporarily to remove this app completely or change applied setting in order to get rid of? I used -x flag but it showed me a prohibitory sign at a very first moment.

Any kind help would be appreciated.

Maybe there is a fail-safe feature in SwitchResX. Therefore I'd advise you to ask the developer or refer to support of that software.

There I googled it for you: SwitchResX support

Note: According to the this the boot flag "-x" boots your computer into the safe mode, in which many for hacintosh needed kernel extensions (e.g. FakeSMC.kext) won't get loaded, hence your prohibitory sign.
