stelriah Posted August 16, 2005 Share Posted August 16, 2005 I used the guide on the homepage of the osx86project page to edit the AC97 file to match my sound card's vendor id, etc. Everything works fine until I go to test the sound and i get no response. System Preferences list the device under OUTPUT as Line In AC97 and under INPUT it recognizes the mic in, line in, etc. When I open iChat and go to preferences under video it recognizes the mic. After all this i still have no sound output. My computer is a P4 2.8 DELL 400SC. Any help would be really appreciated. stelriah Posted August 16, 2005 Author Share Posted August 16, 2005 On the System Sounds Tab its says the default output is LINE IN. This doesnt make sense at all. I'm sure if this is important but my sound card is the default onboard sound card.
