CharCat
I recently obtained an HP Pavilion A6400f with the ASUS IPIBL-LB Benicia motherboard. (See attached PDF for current specs.) I've also acquired a copy of OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.6. Since my brother keeps telling me to get a Mac and I can't afford one, I thought I'd try to hackintosh this HP. I've found several guides (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/269841-install-snow-leopard-on-any-pc-for-anybody-includes-windows-dual-boot/?hl=%20asus, for example) but they are all 5 - 6 years old. So, is there an up-to-date guide to hackintosh this HP? Or is this kit not doable? Thank you. CharCat
I finally found a copy of Smith's modded BIOS 5.17, but therein lies a problem. My mobo has version 5.43. So, do I need to downgrade, go ahead with the install, or give up and load Linux Mint?
