haxnpeter
Hello, i'm new here Intro, if you just wanna go straight to my question, ignore this i read much tutorials etc. and got it to work to use dualboot El Capitan and Windows 10 on my Surface Pro 3. How i did it: I shrank my Win Partition, Installed El Capitan and after it i installed Clover Bootloader. My first Problem was that i was unable to boot Windows after it from Clover. So i bootet via Win - USB Bootstick and repaired Windows EFI via cmd. All worked fine, Clover was installed on my PC and i was able to choose in Clover beteen Windows and OSX. Problems were solved so far. But some days ago Windows 10 got a Update and Clover didn't came up anymore. (Still was able to boot it from Clover Usb Stick) I was able to repair it by following this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298027-guide-aio-guides-for-hackintosh/?do=findComment&comment=2019704 Now its working again Question: Is it possible to prevent Windows 10 from overwriting the Clover Bootloader? (Yes disabling automatic updates would work... but i still wanna use the windows updates, i just not want it to overwrite clover ) thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311760-prevent-windows-update-from-overwriting-clover-bootloader/ Share on other sites
vusun123
It's not possible since M$ is obviously trying to make Windows as the primary OS, therefore it will always overwrite Clover as the 1st boot option priority, and sadly EasyUEFI won't work on your SF3 ( making changes to boot priority doesn't work ) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311760-prevent-windows-update-from-overwriting-clover-bootloader/#findComment-2231199 Share on other sites
