dikkiedirk Posted January 23, 2016 Share Posted January 23, 2016 With help of a relative I installed 10.11 on my Elitebook 8570w. He has a MacBook Pro and created a USB stick for me. Now 10.11 is setup and working with the most important features like sound, wifi, speedstep. But.. My laptop screen is not properly detected and probably that is why brightness control isn't working. It is detected as appledisplay and not as apple backlight display. There already is a PNLF patch in the patched DSDT, so guys can you please tell me what else is needed to get brightness control working?
