t800t8
I'm trying to install Mac OS X 10.4.7 (JaS) in my Dell Inspiron 8600. My laptop has 4 partitions: one for Windows XP, a primary partition (unformatted) to install Mac and 2 others use FAT32. I tried to use DiskPart (create partition primary id=af) but it shows me: "Diskpart was unable to create the specified partition". Then I tried to boot from Mac OS DVD to install. When I use Disk Utility to erase the primary partition as Mac OC Extended format, I have a error message "Could not read paritition map". What happen? How can I install Mac OS? Thanks a lot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/31042-could-not-read-paritition-map/ Share on other sites
t800t8
Seems it happens 'cause I used Paragon Partition Manager to create primary partition. After deleting it, I tried to create partition by "create partition primary id=af" and it worked. Mac OS can install but I have another problem (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=31049) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/31042-could-not-read-paritition-map/#findComment-215384 Share on other sites
