ratiocinate
Hi, I recently installed osx86 on my HP Pavilion dv6000. It is (for the most part) working perfectly, but when I can't seem to use the onboard ethernet card. I looked in the 10.4.1 HCL, and it said that it should support the Intel Pro/100 VE, which is what I have. I tried to see if I needed to update the AppleIntel8255x.kext extension file, but it didn't exist on my computer. Do I need to download a driver for this ethernet card? If so, where can I get it? Thanks a lot! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/30937-using-intel-pro100-ve/ Share on other sites
bgrau
I have that integrated nic card working perfectly on a Dell Dimension 8300. My system is 10.4.8, but it worked out of the box with 10.4.5 / .6 and .7 You must upgrade the OS... ratiocinate
So I upgraded the OS to 10.4.6, but now it won't boot... previously I used the Windows bootloader with boot.ini, but now when I try to select "Mac OS x86" it just gives me the boot screen again. Any ideas? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/30937-using-intel-pro100-ve/#findComment-215371 Share on other sites
