I installed JaS' 10.4.7 DVD natively on my first hard drive, 2nd partition, used all the right packages (just the combo update, SSE3, and audio). It installed fine, restarted fine, and worked fine (booted into OSX natively, everything worked), but when I rebooted to see if it would, it wouldn't. Why would it boot up fine the first time, but not the second time? (Or anytime after that.)

Thanks!

UPDATE: I can boot in to OSX by changing my BIOS options to treat SATA drives as ATA, rather than AHCI. But doing this means I can't boot into Windows, which expects AHCI, it would seem. Is there a way to get AHCI working in OSX (a new driver or something)?

Another update: I switched my BIOS options to treat hard drives as "ATA" instead of "AHCI" and I am able to boot right into OSX normally. I need to see if performance depends on AHCI, or if things are fine as they are now.

UPDATE: Apparently, I can't boot into Windows with the drives set to ATA instead of AHCI. It reboots right after starting the XP splash screen. Switching back to AHCI lets me back into XP, but I guess I need to find a kext for my SATA controller in OSX, yeah?
