rkelleyrtp1
I need to do a fresh Yosemite install on boot my new X99-UD4 board (5960x CPU) using a modified kernel and Clover v3050. However, I don't know where to put the modified kernel. The USB installer does not have a S/L/E folder yet, and I don't see any Clover plist statements that let you patch the kernel on the fly. I tried putting the modified kernel in the root directory of the ESP partition as well as the root directory of the OSX installer USB, however I still can't boot (stuck at the "root device UUID is" message). Where do I need to put the modified kernel? Thanks! jamiethemorris
Put it at the root of the installer partition and use the boot flag kernel=kernel assuming your kernel is named kernel Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303246-booting-wclover-and-using-a-modified-kernel/#findComment-2094593 Share on other sites
