alaska80
first, sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum. I tried the search feature and couldn't find what I need to know. So the deal is, two Powerbook batteries from Apple's battery exchange program just came in the mail. The return instructions say that my old batteries have to be discharged before I mail them back. The problem is that I have no way to discharge them because I just gave my Powerbook to someone in another city. Will it really matter to them if I don't discharge the old batteries? Apple's just going to destroy them anyway. I don't want to be charged $143.33 per battery for not following instructions.. DragoB
Well, if you are just going to send it back, why don't you give it a short-circuit... that should solve the problem and discharge the battery pretty fast Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29926-powerbook-battery-exchange-program/#findComment-207073 Share on other sites
