duskye
So, I got a new build consisting of slight newer parts then my old one, so I went along the way of installing OSX mavericks on it. AHCI was actually natively supported on this mobo so I didn't have to get kexts unlike my previous one. I created my myHack USB stick and booted into the installation and installed everything just fine, though like my older build the only way I was able to get in was by ingnoring caches, after that it installed just fine. This is where problems start happening. When I first tried to boot, I didn't get it any boot options to see if it would actually boot without -f, it did not...or it DID, according to the lines of text appearing to the left of the apple logo, and staying there for ever and ever. Using -f doesn't help much either, it just sends me to a grey screen with no mouse. Safe mode is even worse, the loading bar doesn't even get half way when suddenly my mobo completely shuts off and on, resulting in what -f does, but without everything shutting off. I'm still vary new to hackintoshes, but I have been successfull at least once in making one, I'd like to repeat that. My build goes as follows: Mobo: Gigabye P35 DS4 rev 2.1 Video: Nvidia GT 640 CPU: Intel Quad Core 2.4 GHz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295772-having-problems-booting-into-newly-installed-osx/ Share on other sites
