Hi there.

(I would place this everywhere but got 13/20 for the Part 2 twice)

I have unlocked VM Workstation 10 with 1.20 Unlock All.

I have Retail OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.

It boots to the Apple Logo and then the Error Appears:

The CPU has been disabled by the Guest Operating System.

AMD A10 5700 with AMD-V

12GB RAM

3.5 gHz

I can't find a solution at all :(

I've had this issue for months now.

Hi there,

I have a very similar setup to yours! Since we have AMD processors, you cannot install OS X directly with the Apple installer.

You need to replace the kernel with a patched kernel, that has support for AMD processors. I used the BSA R9 kernel.

I also have a A10-5750M, but with 8GB RAM, and VMware Workstation 10, unlocked.

I was able to sucesfully get to the OS X Installer screen, but I have no mouse to click on Continue. :(

Here is the guide I followed, that makes use of MyHack, I'm sure it'll help you a great deal. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/294868-guideamd-athlon-x2-x6-with-mavericks-1091/

Incase you're not interested in creating your own hackintosh, you can find pre-built VMWare disk images that work just fine. I can't provide any details here, coz it's supposed to be against the rules, but just google "Hackintosh 10.8.3 VMware with AMD". You can also update this to 10.8.4 using the standalone upgrade dmg directly from Apple. Do NOT use the Combo updater, as it will overwrite your Kernel.

No one seems to reply to the new guys here, so I hope I could be of some help wth my limited knowledge.

Cheers!

Shawn

^_^ Where did you get the BSA R9 kernel from? I think I need that as it has the same error as before or if I change firmware = "efi" to BIOS I get a forever stuck screen of Loading Darwin/x86?

Thank you!

I opened it out ^_^ passed the quiz.
