NightHawkCA
Hi all, Long time listener first time caller. I have Mavericks 10.9 installed on my Gigabyte Z68AP-D3, works like a top EXCEPT for the fact that my AMD Radeon HD 5450 (Asus, 0x06f9 I believe) does not have FrameBuffer acceleration. Only the 6450, running Pithecia. I have in my Boot.plist, "AtiConfig" set to "Pithecia" for the 6450. How can I ALSO enable a FrameBuffer for the 5450, simultaneous? I would have to have "AtiConfig" set to "Eulemur" for the 5450, yes? But how to set them both at the same time? Can I have two lines, one saying AtiConfig=Pithecia, and the next saying AtiConfig=Eulemur? The two cards being different chipsets, they do not have a common Framebuffer entry type between them, as far as I have been able to research. I did the ioreg | grep ATY and I get this -- | | | | +-o ATY,Pithecia@0 <class AtiFbStub, id 0x1000002ce, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (3 ms), retain 43> | | | | +-o ATY,Pithecia@1 <class AtiFbStub, id 0x1000002cf, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (1 ms), retain 43> | | | | +-o ATY,ATY,RadeonFramebuffer@0 <class AtiFbStub, id 0x10000047f, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (0 ms), retain 43> | | | | | +-o ATY_ATY,RadeonFramebuffer <class AMDFramebuffer, id 0x100000482, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (0 ms), retain 52> | | | | +-o ATY,ATY,RadeonFramebuffer@1 <class AtiFbStub, id 0x100000480, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (0 ms), retain 43> | | | | | +-o ATY_ATY,RadeonFramebuffer <class AMDFramebuffer, id 0x100000488, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (0 ms), retain 52> | | | | +-o ATY,ATY,RadeonFramebuffer@2 <class AtiFbStub, id 0x100000481, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (0 ms), retain 43> | | | | | +-o ATY_ATY,RadeonFramebuffer <class AMDFramebuffer, id 0x10000048e, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (0 ms), retain 49> .. which says to me that Pithecia is installed correctly but the 5450 is using the generic RadeonFramebuffer .. ? Where to go from here, everyone? I'd like both cards to be recognized .. possible?
