Hey

ladies and gents

Just signed up to the forum and I looked around first and I like it, by the sounds of it there is a friendly bunch kickin around. Anyways I have a PC with Win XP on it, I have 1 gig of ram, 1.5 gig processor, and 100 HD on my compaq Presario V2000 notebook. I had the oppertunity to go to Win Vista but I came across the idea of using the Mac OS and using the dual boot set up, I have never used Mac before but I would like to give it a try. Everything is good to go, all I am waiting on is my OS which will be very shortly, so wish me luck lol. Thnx

Regards

Brad

Hello there.. make sure to do a lot of reading before installing anything. Check on hardware support, dual booting and the such. I would recomend right off the bat getting The Ultimate Boot CD if you plan on dual booting. I found it a little late and I wish I had it in the begining. It can get you out of a bind. That is if you plan on keeping your windows xp around.

You are correct the people here are generally very friendly and helpfull. People are working on many projects to get things working on as much hardware as possible. So if your hardware doesn't run osx don't completely give up hope. Just keep checking the ol' search button every once in awhile.

Again welcome to the boards.

Good Luck
