I've got OSX86 running smoothly on my Inspiron 5160 (big thanks to this forum for supplying me with ample knowledge and patches! :) ), except for one major hurdle. I do have sound, which works on my speakers as well as my headphone line-out, but its horrible. It skips every second and makes listening to any audio unbearable.

Are drivers an issue? I have only seen "No Audio" threads, none that deal with bad audio. Yes, I have DMA enabled, so its not a read speed issue.

Let me know if you need any additional information and I'll be happy to supply it. Thanks!

I also have issues with the sound skipping on my Inspiron 5160, and have found no threads that have helped. It isn't horrible under iTunes, but it does skip more if I try to do anything else. Also, when I try to run any kind of movie the audio and video get way out of sync, and both are extremely jerky.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar problem...glitchy audio/video on my Asus M378-EH mobo.

Odd thing is, when I move the mouse, the audio sounds fine. When I stop moving it, the audio is very glitchy / jittery.

Any ideas from the pros out there?
