Soat
I've got OSX86 running smoothly on my Inspiron 5160 (big thanks to this forum for supplying me with ample knowledge and patches! ), except for one major hurdle. I do have sound, which works on my speakers as well as my headphone line-out, but its horrible. It skips every second and makes listening to any audio unbearable. Are drivers an issue? I have only seen "No Audio" threads, none that deal with bad audio. Yes, I have DMA enabled, so its not a read speed issue. Let me know if you need any additional information and I'll be happy to supply it. Thanks! MitchBomcanhao
My sound skips now and then, not really that frequent. when cpu usage is high, it skips more. twistmyself
I also have issues with the sound skipping on my Inspiron 5160, and have found no threads that have helped. It isn't horrible under iTunes, but it does skip more if I try to do anything else. Also, when I try to run any kind of movie the audio and video get way out of sync, and both are extremely jerky. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2912-sound-glitches/#findComment-67526 Share on other sites
Katruje
I have a similar problem...glitchy audio/video on my Asus M378-EH mobo. Odd thing is, when I move the mouse, the audio sounds fine. When I stop moving it, the audio is very glitchy / jittery. Any ideas from the pros out there? ~James~ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2912-sound-glitches/#findComment-1108901 Share on other sites
