ttyseven
Hi folks, I got a sucking problem with "still waiting for root device" error but first the whole story: I previously installed the DeadMoo Image to drives partition and it worked fine. I did it with DD and everything was ok, so I decided to make my own IMG with VMWare to dd it to the drive and started over (Note: Install DVDs are not working for my Notebook!) The whoel thing was running well on VMWare, so I decided to dd the brand new homebrewn image to my drive, so I did, but now, I got this "still waiting for root device" error any time I try to load up OS X. I tried diffrent solutions like platform=X86PC and -x but non of them worked gfor me. I am working on this for nearly a week now. Maybe you can help me with this? Maybe someone knows the special loader config of deadmoo? Any patches not in JaS release? Thanks a lot! Rammjet
You can use VMWare to install the JaS release to your hard drive without trying to create your own special image. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=11314 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/28800-still-waiting-for-root-device/#findComment-197536 Share on other sites
