kevingpo
Am using the darwin boot loader for multi-boot up. How does one make windows xp partition the default selection for boot up? ghw9132
use the search feature of the forums, or just read. copy the file chain0 from the dvd to your windows drive (c:) then edit the boot.ini file (invisible) and add the line c:\chain0="MacOS X86" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2872-help-winxp-partition-default-boot-up-woes-s/#findComment-18604 Share on other sites
kevingpo
Thanks. Usually I do search. But for this problem I wasn't sure how to word it right regarding the keywords used for searching. Anyway, found the chain0 file in E:\usr\standalone\i386\ folder. However, my boot.ini file is like: [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect ----------EOF-------------- Do I just add it at the end? or at the start?
