Mettiu
I am currently on a computer only running 10.8.2 on a SSD, with all my data on a HDD RAID configured under Mountain Lion. Since I also need to use windows applications, I bought another identical SSD just for it but now, under Os X, I have no idea how to make a bootable windows 8 installation usb disk. I tried unetbootin to restore the .iso on a 8 Gb compact flash, but when I then try to boot from it, I receive a "Missing Operating System" error. I tried to convert the .iso to a .dmg with the DMGConverter app, then to restore it with Disk Utility, and again it didn't work. Can anybody give me a suggestion? Thanks for reading! rockinron_1
You can burn iso's in disk utility. Just burn it to disk Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/284215-windows-8-installation-paradox/#findComment-1865591 Share on other sites
Mettiu
No, I couldn't, I get the 254 error because of Disk Utility incompatibility with ISO9660. Anyway, I solved the problem relying on a Windows laptop I have.
