If you have some questions about, we can respond you! then, yes, you can try OS X Lion 10.7.5 or OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 or higher I suggest you to do a Retail install (see FAQ) with a USB stick. For more details, use the search feature to find the tuto how to install OS X with USB stick For Intel's i3-i5-i7 you'll maybe need a patched kernel, the google search can help you! p.s: what's your laptop's complete name ?
