Ad esempio installare Mac OS X su un altro HDD eviterà che Windows possa saltare in fase di smanettamenti. Quindi se si impalla Lion hai sempre Windows per tornare sul forum e chiedere aiuto. Anche creare un backup dopo essere riuscito ad installare OS X eviterà di reinstallare da capo dopo un guaio.
