Domestic
ello all now I have a problem with onboard audio device and I am really pissed off.... here it is: - motherboard Asus P5PL2 - intel ICH7 chipset - adi ad1986a audio device - macosx86 10.4.3 8f1111 patch ad1986 audio device : 0x198611d4 microsoft uua bus : 0x27d88086 don't paste me previous threads, because I checked them all and I did all what should be necessary: I added 0x27d88086 in to AppleAC97ICH7.kext, I added ADS78 in to AppleAC97AD198x.kext, I loaded them all including AppleAC97Audio.kext, everything loaded succesful without errors, then I did cd /System/Library; rm Extensions.kextcache; kextcache -k Extensions, but still no sound and I couldn't slide volume control so it means it doesn't work.... is there anything what I could do except this what I wrote? I really don't see any solution. any help? good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/27722-audio-device-problem/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
Strangely, one person reported success using the ALC882 guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=186279 http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=18642 BTW, "ad1986 audio device : 0x198611d4" should be 0x11d41986 (the audio device is vendor followed by device while the controller is device followed by vendor) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/27722-audio-device-problem/#findComment-189234 Share on other sites

Yes. Like I said, it is strange that it worked for that one person. It is unexpected and may not work for everyone. Rammjet
I am not dumb and I know where is my line output, the green one For several of the audio hacks, the sound ends up coming out of the line-in jack. But I am glad you are not dumb and went ahead and checked them all out.
