I successfully installed osx86 through VMware onto my computer! w00t!. Problem now is that I don't know how to make my computer boot from the partition so it'll run osx. It runs fine in vmware workstation. When I go to Partition Magic, a balloon pops up that says something about I have a corrupt file. Also, the partition osx is installed on's format is now "Type 07." And I can't right click>advanced>make active cuz that's greyed out. What can I do?

Also, I don't know if this is because it's in vmware, but in osx, it says I don't have an internet connection.

Oh yeah, one more thing. I saw the topic, but I saw many different ways. So, did anyone find a way to get itunes 7 to run on osx86?

Set your partition active: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=22844

Internet connection: would need more info

iTunes 7: Works just fine on a computer with SSE3. Needs work on SSE2. Go near the end of the thread, there is a posting summarizing the process.

Ummm. I'm not sure. I plug a phone line into my computer, and I have this tower looking thing called "2 wire." Router perhaps?

Also, I'm using VMware, and I used that tutorial you posted, then I'm just hitting stop in VMware, then restart my entire computer, but it still doesn't work.

(shaking head). The device in the computer. Since you said you have DSL and you are plugging in a "phone line", you must be using your ethernet port and the "phone line" is an ethernet cable and the "tower/router" is your DSL modem.

What I wrote in the other thread:

Everything that you typed in fdisk looks correct and the responses from fdisk look correct.

What doesn't look right is that under "diskutil list", the 2nd partition says it is NTFS. If that is the OSX partition, it shouldn't say that. Did you format the OSX partition in Disk Utility during the installation?
