Cabreezy
I'm trying to figure out what would be the best version to install on an Acer Veriton VX275. I've opened it up and found it has an Acer N15235 motherboard. Specs are below. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! goodguess
10.6 will run, 10.7 may, but the G41 graphics is not supported by OSX, sorry. It can be done, but you probably wont like it. No hardware accelleration, so forget games or videos. No screenshots or picture previews by the OS, alas there is third party software. Your screen may be fixed at 1024x768. If you can acquire a suitable PCI express graphics, obove issues would be solved and I would give it a shot. Here are some basic instructions, disregard the AMD-cpu stuff. http://www.osx86.net/desktops/9746-guide-os-x-10-6-amd.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/276295-help-acer-veriton-vx275-ud5800w/#findComment-1799703 Share on other sites
Cabreezy
Thanks so much, do you have recommendations for a graphics card? It's a pretty small case so I don't think some kind of massive SLI card could fit in there. goodguess
Yes, look for some low profile device. I am using one like these, but I lost line out audio with my setup due to DVI: http://www.reichelt....ba8c4ed5ed22eee Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/276295-help-acer-veriton-vx275-ud5800w/#findComment-1800039 Share on other sites
