tilllt
Hey People, i would like to use CUDA, for the Mercury Playback Engine of Adobe and programs like DaVinci Resolve. Additionally there are MPEG4 Encoders (MainConcept) and JPEG2000 Encoder (CUJ2K) that support CUDA Acceleration. The Nvidia GTX285 is really the only option between price, certified by adobe and working with Resolve. Does anyone have experience in using the gtx285 and its cuda capabilities in Lion (10.7.2)? I am on a Gigabyte Ep45-UD3P, QuadCore 2.67ghz , and currently have a 9500GT Graphic card... I installed Lion using Kakewalk and manually adding VodooHDA for sound and a recent Sleepenabler.kext to resolve sleep issues. The rest worked great out of the box. Looking forward to (hopefully) success stories! t. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/274514-nvidia-gtx-285-lion-cuda/ Share on other sites
TychoB
Hey tilllt Did you get anywhere with the GTX285? I'm looking to build a Premiere Pro CUDA accelerated workstation and came to the same conclusion that the GTX285 was the safest bet. Grateful for any advice!
