LatinMcG Posted November 2, 2011 Share Posted November 2, 2011 youll likely need dsdt fixes .. and i worked on x205-s5xx and the sleep kept resseting bios .. no post. to fix: next to ram slot has a J1 or J355 with 2 solder bumps.. short that with metal or wire.. power on .. then power off. (make sure memory in slot A missing only on now power off and remove short. now it posts again. i never tried to fix the sleep again. (far away noobie friend with no idea is hard to fix) usb retail 10.6 method.. with dsdt should work.. (restore the 10.6.0 or 10.6.3 retail.dmg with os x to usb then install chameleon2.1 to it then add /Extra/Extensions/fakesmc.kext and /Extra/dsdt.aml and /Extra/smbios.plist with MacBook5,1 model) by the way. is your wireless working ? once u update to 10.5.6 it might stop working if its AR5BXB63. replace with BCM94321MC 10.5.x OR 10.6.3+ only AR5B91 from ebay .. might have to tape pin 20 of wireless card too. (the + means above that version works not prior) by the way have u updated bios ? what version is it ? 1.x or 2.x ?
