KickingBear519
Hello! Brand new user looking to build a stable workstation running Lion, Logic 9 (or possibly the upcoming Logic X). Which method of installation is the most safe? I heard a fresh install from the OS disc would be best. But since Lion is only available through the app store or on pirate sites, would I need to install snow leopard from a disc and then buy lion via the mac app store? Also Which components have been known to work smoothly with Lion w/ Logic? My research has suggested that the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R has been tested well with Logic builds. But I was hoping to use to mobo compatible with Sandybridge for a more future proof machine. However, I am willing to sacrifice that power for stability. Can anyone suggest some components, tips or guidelines for my build? KickingBear519
Really? no one? Alright. Well perhaps there would be too many variables for the build I want. I heard finding the right drivers for hardware and software is a pain despite having all the compatible parts. I'll just buy a 2010 mac pro when they go on clearance Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/271331-components-for-stable-logic-9-workstation/#findComment-1766732 Share on other sites
