Newbee I was hoping someone could help me with this patch. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1362685 The patch says its only for Laptops using the X3100 videocard, however the issue is identical to what I'm experiencing with my desktop and 6870 I just bought. I'm using a Mac Pro 1.1 and just popped in an XFX 6870 (ZDFC) and its having a hard time finding my 24" acer display ( at res. 1920x1080) - When it is found it is always perfect. Never any blur, stretch, or any sort of artifacts so I don't think I will need a custom EDID, although I did attempt to do this already to no avail. I don't really know if it worked or not since I believe this patch is needed to make it all work. Here is my DSDT info I extracted using DSDTSE. - hopefully someone can help. Bhang Posted November 3, 2011 Author Share Posted November 3, 2011 Problem solved ! It turns out that my Acer monitor doesn't like my 6870. In the end the 6870 won out and the acer is finding a new home. I tried 3 other monitors including another 1920x1080 widescreen and has not has a single issue !
