kake
Good day. I have an older desktop machine with an Asus P5L-VM motherboard. I checked, and found out that is compatible with Osx86. So I got both iPC and iDeneb, and tried to install them - turned out my CD-ROM is defective. So once again I tried to install it from USB, copying the ISOs to the stick using dd. It took forever to copy the ISOs on my Kingston Traveler 8GB, but once it finally finished, I found out my old desktop did not support booting from USB. I googled, and found PLoP-boot manager, installed it, which would make it support booting from USB. But to no help, when booting from the memory stick, I got the message "Operating system not found". No matter if I tried with iDeneb or iPC, i got that message. So now I have absolutely no clue about what to do. Do you have any good advice for me? Now I feel stupid. Turns out I had a bad connection or something on my CD-ROM - now I got it booting from CD, no problem. Now lets just wait to see if it's successful Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/270438-great-deal-of-problems-trying-to-install-osx86/ Share on other sites
