Rammjet
You have to figure out what kind of sound codec chip you have before someone can help you - brand and model - like Realtek 882 or Sigmatel 9200 or Soundmax 1981 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26983-missing-sound/#findComment-198076 Share on other sites

Rammjet
Reading the manual for your motherboard or even doing a quick Google on your motherboard model (P5S800-VM) reveals that you have ALC655 audio. There isn't a solution for your audio, but you can give the following a try: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=18642 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26983-missing-sound/#findComment-198084 Share on other sites

Rammjet
You have to run the install.sh from the directory where it is stored: In Terminal, type: cd /SiS7012 ./install.sh You'll probably still get the first 2 errors when it is backing up your old IOAudioFamily.kext (it seems to be missing), but the rest of it should run fine.
