mihir.khatwani
Hello, I found this forun very interesting, they made me take a quiz before I coult create a new thread, and the quiz was pretty interesting. And I also liked the way this forum is designed. Ok So I have a custom built desktop with the following configuration - Intel Core i7 920 Asus P6T Deluxe(Plain Deluxe not Deluxe v2) x58 LGA 1366 Corsair Dominator 6Gb 3x2Gb DDR3 1600MHz XFX Nvidia GTX 275 OCZ Vertex II 90GB SATA II Western Digital Caviar Black 750GB SATA II Seaggate Barracuda 250Gb SATA II Seasonic SS 750W Cooler Master HAF 932 LG 2360v So I have Windows 7 installed on my OCZ SSD and I have Fedora 15 installed on my 750GB Caviar Black, and GRUB is loaded from my 750GB, so my primary boot disk is the WD 750GB Drive. I have ordered another 250GB specifically for MAC installation and I have the OS X 10.6.4 Disk, which I got with a macbook pro 15". I have used this guide http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1394042 to try out the installation,I disconnected all my other HDDs except for the 250GB one and booted to chameleon, and then everything was fine when I inserted the MAC OS X Dvd until language selection, after language selection I get this error "Sorry MAC OS X cannot be installed on this computer and two options for restart and restore from backup" What do I do now. I spent my money on getting a new 250GB HDD just for this purpose. And also I have used the MAC disk utility to partition the drive using GUID Partitioning table, please help me out guys. You need to purchase the 10.6.3 Retail Disc if you can find one. Individualized install or recovery discs with actual Apple computers are tailored to the hardware found in those computers, and although I am sure that someone, somewhere has been able to use one of those discs, generally, we are all herded to using the retail install discs (or one of the various prepackaged installer packages). Just some feedback from personal experience. I had tried to use a disc that came with my daughter's macbook, NO GO. nesnfsn in sunny South Florida Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/269685-mac-os-x-1064-installation-on-asus-p6t-deluxe/#findComment-1760351 Share on other sites
