cathexisam Posted September 20, 2011 Share Posted September 20, 2011 I am after some more graphics grunt for my upcoming hackintosh. As I understand it, there is currently no crossfire support. However, I was wondering if OS X would recognise at least one of the two cards; considering that I only need crossfire for when I game on Windows. There is also the other possibility of buying a cheap secondary card solely for Mac support, but I’m not sure how that would work (would it have to be placed in the primary slot to have OS X recognise it?). The second option, and the one I am most interested in, is to use the integrated graphics for OS X and a dedicated card for Windows gaming. This would allow me to use whatever card I wanted without worrying about all the fussy support issues. To have this work I would need to have two cables connected to the monitor – one from the integrated graphics, and the other from the dedicated card. Would this work?
