Intel HD 3000 + GPU / dual GPU setup for dual boot

I am after some more graphics grunt for my upcoming hackintosh. As I understand it, there is currently no crossfire support. However, I was wondering if OS X would recognise at least one of the two cards; considering that I only need crossfire for when I game on Windows. There is also the other possibility of buying a cheap secondary card solely for Mac support, but I’m not sure how that would work (would it have to be placed in the primary slot to have OS X recognise it?).

The second option, and the one I am most interested in, is to use the integrated graphics for OS X and a dedicated card for Windows gaming. This would allow me to use whatever card I wanted without worrying about all the fussy support issues. To have this work I would need to have two cables connected to the monitor – one from the integrated graphics, and the other from the dedicated card. Would this work?

Are people not responding because it was a stupid question, or because they don't have any answers? If it was a stupid question, could someone please direct me to a place where I could get some answers? Any help would be appreciated...
